In 1959 Arthur Page, the petitioner herein, was discharged from Massachusetts Correctional Institution, Concord, as required by the decision in Commonwealth v. Page, 339 Mass. 313 (1959). In 1960 he was convicted in the Superior Court of violations of G.L.c. 272, §§ 16 and 35A, and given consecutive sentences, the second of which would expire no later than August 17, 1968.
