In 1947, R.K. and Marie Sollid, husband and wife, created an irrevocable trust naming their three children, Louise Jahr, Hannah Carlson (now Hannah Mayberry), and Lars Sollid as beneficiaries. A contemporaneously executed will created a testamentary trust with Marie Sollid the life income beneficiary and trustee. Upon her death, the 1947 trust instrument would become operative.
