Plaintiff appeals by right the trial court's grant of a directed verdict in favor of all defendants.

Plaintiff was the pastor of the Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church for more than 17 years, from 1958 to 1975. In 1975, a rift developed in the church. The board of trustees asked plaintiff to resign, and he refused. The trustees then proceeded to pass a resolution to terminate plaintiff's duties as pastor. On December 19, 1975, plaintiff...
