On July 21, 1981, Carl J. Bessel and Linda Bessel filed a petition in bankruptcy under chapter 7 and William Rameker was appointed interim trustee. On August 17, Rameker became the elected trustee by virtue of 11 U.S.C. § 702(d) and on August 27, he filed a report of exempt property and mailed a copy to the Bessels.
