Defendant was found guilty by a district court jury of three counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree, Minn.Stat. § 609.342(a), (b) (1980), for acts of sexual misconduct in June 1977, October 1978 and December 1979. He was sentenced by the trial court to two consecutive 20-year prison terms and one concurrent 20-year prison term.
