Defendant, Dewey William Carson, was convicted of two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. MCL 750.520d; MSA 28.788(4). The charges arose out of two incidents of sexual intercourse between defendant and a 14-year-old girl. Defendant was also charged, in a supplemental information, with being a habitual (fourth) offender. MCL 769.12; MSA 28.1084. He was convicted on the supplemental information and sentenced to 2 concurrent prison terms of 40...
