To the extent that "morality consists of suspecting other people of not being married", as defined by George Bernard Shaw, the virtues of each generation lie in the interpretation of the times. Conjugal relationships, absent the requisite incantations of clerk or priest, are probably no more frequent in this generation than in any other, only more notorious...
