Defendant was charged with armed robbery, MCL 750.529; MSA 28.797. He was originally assigned status as a youthful trainee under the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act, MCL 762.11 et seq.; MSA 28.853(11) et seq., and placed on three years probation.
