The principal issue in this case is whether an employer violates state fair employment statutes when its employment application includes a medical history form asking certain questions of women only. The plaintiff, who declined to complete such a form, was subsequently denied employment and filed a complaint charging sex discrimination with Connecticut's commission on human rights and opportunities.
