THE FACTS

Appellant was charged with robbery with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by an ex-felon. A public defender was appointed to represent him, but from the time of his first appearance in court, when he told the court that he refused to talk to his public defender for various reasons, Barnes expressed extreme dissatisfaction with his attorney. During the pretrial period, Barnes filed several motions and petitions...
