Defendant appeals his conviction of the offense of ex-convict in possession of a concealable firearm. ORS 166.270. The sole issue is whether the trial court erred in denying defendant's motion to suppress the handgun seized during a warrantless search of the automobile in which defendant was sitting at the time he was stopped by police.
