Cora Spearing Demarest died testate on February 12, 1976. Her husband, Frank, had predeceased her. Of the marriage between Frank and Cora, three children were born: Lucinda Demarest Payne, Donna Demarest Melvin, and Judson Demarest. Judson Demarest predeceased his mother and is survived by four children who are appellees in this matter: Jenny Demarest, Susan Demarest, Noel Demarest, and Donna Demarest Fedderson.
