Silverman filed this action for damages on behalf of the estate of Eric Tiebauer, pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 and the Illinois Wrongful Death Act, Ill.Rev.Stat., 1979, ch. 70, § 1. Named as defendants are two officers of the Rolling Meadows Police Department, Donald Ballantine and Harvey Greenway, and two Cook County Deputy Sheriffs, Mike Abramovitz and Irv Pogofsky.1 The claims arise...
