Ronald Dale Dunn and Robert Lyle Carpenter were found guilty by a jury of conspiring to manufacture phenylacetone and amphetamine, and to possess amphetamine with intent to distribute, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846. Dunn also was convicted for manufacturing the two controlled substances and for possessing amphetamine with intent to distribute. 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1).
