ROSENBERG, District Judge.

This matter came before me for trial non-jury of the defendant, Ruth Anderson, who was charged with the criminal offenses of attempting to evade or defeat income tax payments.

The grand jury had charged in a two-count indictment that the defendant Anderson did willfully and knowingly attempt to evade and defeat a large part of the income taxes due and owing by her to the United States of America for the calendar...
