The defendant, along with another, was indicted for the offense of armed robbery in the taking of money of value from a victim as bailee by intimidation and by use of a pistol, the same being an offensive weapon. The defendant was tried separately and found guilty and sentenced to a term of life imprisonment. It is noted here that the jury in trying the co-defendant found him not guilty.
