This suit concerns the obligation of a spouse to pay permanent alimony.

On March 25, 1981, Barbara Buxton, plaintiff-appellee, filed suit against Donald Ray Buxton, Sr., defendant-appellant, seeking a divorce along with demands for past due alimony, past due child support, and for an increase in both.
