The petitioners Charles Ringstaff and Roosevelt Cooper are inmates in the State Prison of Southern Michigan. Both are serving life sentences following jury convictions for first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the death of a 16 year old newspaper boy. They bring this action pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254, seeking habeas corpus relief from alleged constitutional violations...
