BREITENSTEIN, Circuit Judge.

This is a civil rights action under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 with jurisdiction conferred by 28 U.S.C. § 1343. The district court directed a verdict in favor of the defendants and the plaintiff appeals. We affirm.
