Ulysses Long was convicted on two counts of armed robbery, R.S. 14:64, and sentenced to serve consecutive terms of fifty years at hard labor on each count without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence. After defendant fired his attorney, the East Baton Rouge Parish Public Defender's Office was appointed counsel for defendant on appeal and now argues one of the three assignments of error filed below as grounds for reversal of defendant...
