The defendant was convicted of carrying a .22 caliber pistol without a permit in violation of HRS § 134-9 (1976). He appeals from the judgment and sentence of the trial court. Oral argument was ordered waived by this court. At issue is whether the trial court erred in denying his motion to suppress.
