Plaintiff received serious injury in a one vehicle accident which occurred during the evening of April 15, 1977, on Louisiana highway 13 in Acadia Parish, Louisiana. According to plaintiff, while driving an 18 wheel tractor-trailer north on highway 13, he was forced off the highway and onto the shoulder of the road as a result of the blinding headlights of an oncoming vehicle.
