Defendant-appellant Ronald Pettit (Pettit) was convicted by a jury in the Dearborn Circuit Court of three of seven charges, namely: Count II resisting law enforcement with a deadly weapon under Ind. Code 35-44-3-3 (Supp. 1981), Count III criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon under Ind. Code 35-42-2-2 (Supp. 1981), and Count V resisting law enforcement by fleeing under Ind.
