This appeal presents the question of whether, upon the dissolution of a marriage, federal law precludes a Florida court from awarding permanent periodic alimony in the amount of one half of military nondisability retirement pay. We find that such an award is not precluded, and also affirm offsetting special equities to both parties in investment property based upon contribution of purchase funds by the husband from a source unconnected with the marriage...
