This is an appeal from a conviction for the offense of murder. The jury set punishment at life imprisonment.

Appellant William Byron Hollis, Jr. was convicted in Cause No. 11,332-80-2 of murder upon his plea of not guilty. Prior to trial, a hearing before a jury was held to determine defendant's mental competence.
