On February 11, 1979, two Emmett city police officers observed defendant make a U-turn in the city of Emmett, pulled alongside the defendant's car and, according to their testimony, requested that the defendant stop his vehicle. Instead, defendant drove away. The officers pursued the defendant, lost sight of him, but within a few minutes found his unoccupied vehicle. Thinking that the defendant could be found the next day, the officers discontinued...
