The issue on appeal is whether the exclusion of a defense witness was a permissible remedy for an alleged defense discovery violation in a criminal case. We are compelled to reverse because the procedural prejudice suffered by the prosecution as a result of the violation was insufficient to warrant exclusion of evidence and could have been cured by a less drastic remedy.
