This tort case, tried before a jury, was filed by Jerome C. Benson for injuries he received on January 4, 1979, while riding as a guest passenger in a truck being driven by one of the defendants, Howard Warren Seagraves. Other defendants named in the action included Jefferson Davis Electrical Cooperative (hereafter referred to as Jeff Davis), who was Seagraves' employer, and United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company, Jeff Davis' liability insurer...
