Defendant, Jarrell Delano Frith, was indicted by the St. Martin Parish Grand Jury on September 17, 1980, for three counts of attempted aggravated rape of his seven year old niece, Jerilyn Verret, in violation of La.R.S. 14:27, 14:42 (3).
