SHAW, District Judge.

The plaintiffs in this action are eight former deputies of the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Department. The defendant is the incumbent sheriff, Howard Zerangue. Plaintiffs brought this action under 42 U.S.C. §§ 1983, 1985, 1986 and 1988 alleging that Sheriff Zerangue violated their civil rights under the First and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution when he did not reappoint them as deputy sheriffs...
