Harrison, an administrator at Martin Community College in Williamston, North Carolina, sued the Board of Trustees and other officials of the college alleging that they had deprived him of his liberty and property without due process when they did not renew his contract after seven years' service. The district court found that Harrison did not possess a constitutionally protected interest in continued employment sufficient to invoke due process...
