This is an appeal from a negligence suit. Coastal States Petrochemical Company sued Berry Contracting, Inc. for damages as a result of a shutdown of its refinery that occurred when a natural gas pipeline was ruptured by Berry. There were no loss profits, no loss sales or contracts. Coastal alleged that it was deprived of the use of its asset for 49 hours and that it was entitled to damages in an amount equal to the reasonable ...
