This is an appeal of a conviction for failure to appear for sentencing in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 3150. Appellant Marie La Monte claims she was deprived of her Sixth Amendment right to effective assistance of counsel when the trial judge denied her counsel's motion for a continuance on the day of trial.
