Dr. Sidney Ingbar, the plaintiff/appellee, is a professor at Harvard Medical School. In 1979, he opened an account with the defendant/appellant, a commodities brokerage firm called Drexel Burnham Lambert Incorporated ("Drexel"). When he opened the account, he signed Drexel's two-page form account contract.
