The appellant, Kirby Cortez Jackson, was found guilty by jury trial in the Circuit Court of Grenada County of burglary of a dwelling house. Since Jackson had previously been convicted and sentenced to serve terms of more than one year each for manslaughter and robbery, he was sentenced pursuant to the habitual criminal statute, Mississippi Code Annotated section 99-19-81 (Supp. 1981) for the maximum term of imprisonment prescribed...
