Ronald J. Bloomstrand was indicted for first degree murder in connection with the shooting death of Harris Okboak. Following a jury trial, Bloomstrand was convicted of the lesser-included offense of manslaughter and was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Paul Jones to a twelve-year term of imprisonment, with parole eligibility expressly restricted for the first five years of the sentence.
