OPINION

STEPHEN F. PRESLAR, Chief Justice.

This is an appeal from a conviction for unlawfully carrying a handgun on or about the person. The jury assessed punishment at one year confinement in the county jail and a fine of $2,000.00. We affirm.

At trial, the State offered the testimony of Officer D. J. Gafford. In the early morning hours of May 14, 1980, Gafford observed a 1979 Cadillac El Dorado driving in an erratic manner on the Houston freeway...
