This case raises serious questions as to when an employer may assert a bona fide occupational qualification to restrict the hiring of persons to one sex. The action is brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C. 2000e et seq.) The plaintiff is a female who claims she was discriminated against because of her sex.
