PER CURIAM.

Defendant was convicted of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder in violation of MCL 750.84; MSA 28.279, following a jury trial. He was sentenced to serve from 6-1/2 to 10 years in prison. Defendant appeals his conviction as of right.
