Gerald P. Hanson was arrested in Kootenai County, Idaho, as a fugitive from the State of Washington, where he is wanted on criminal charges. Hanson refused to waive extradition and obtained a writ of habeas corpus in Kootenai County, Idaho, to challenge the extradition.
