This action was commenced as a petition for writ of mandamus against the Acting Director of Paroles to require him to issue a revocation warrant pursuant to T.C.A. § 40-3617. The parole officer at whose instance the action was brought testified that he knew that his request for a revocation warrant did not comply with the policies and guidelines of the Board of Paroles.
