The facts pertinent to this appeal are as follows. On October 30, 1980, the Attorney General served Civil Investigative Demand (C.I.D.) No. 80-36 on the defendant. G.L.c. 93A, § 6. The purpose of the demand was to investigate as possible unfair or deceptive acts, in violation of G.L.c. 93A, § 2, the failure of a yacht chartering company, Sea Quest, Inc., doing business as St. Tropez Virgin Island Charters...
