TANAKA, Judge.

Defendant-appellant appeals his conviction of carrying a pistol without a permit in violation of Hawaii Revised Statutes § 134-9 (1976). The only issue before us is whether the trial court erred in admitting the pistol as evidence in the case.1 We affirm.
