Joseph Lindsey was injured in an automobile accident and after a substantial period of hospitalization was transferred to plaintiff's nursing home on August 25, 1978. The charges for the services rendered by plaintiff were paid through the medical portion of an insurance policy issued by Safeco Insurance Company (Safeco) at the rate of $55 per day.
