RANDALL, Circuit Judge:

The issue in this case is whether the trial court erred in refusing to allow testimony by the Plaintiff-Appellant as to the value of his property allegedly destroyed by fire. We hold that it did.

I. Statement of Facts.

Plaintiff-Appellant Walter J. LaCombe's home and much of its contents were destroyed by fire on January 4, 1978. LaCombe, along with Blue Ridge Insurance Company, sued A-T-O, Inc., Interstate Engineering...
