Three employees of Zigler Shipyards perished and several others were injured in a tragic explosion aboard a tank barge brought to Zigler for repairs. The district court granted summary judgment in favor of Triangle Shifting and Fleeting Co., the barge owner, on the basis that, under the circumstances, Triangle had not violated any duty of care imposed on a vessel owner by § 905(b) of the Longshoremen's and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act. 33 U.S...
