This is a consumer credit case. Appellants [hereinafter called the Velas] filed this suit against appellee [hereinafter Ebert's] to recover statutory penalties under Chapter 6 of the Texas Consumer Credit Code, Tex.Rev.Civ.Stat.Ann. arts. 5069-6.01 et seq. (Vernon 1971), and the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, Tex.Bus. & Comm. Code Ann. §§ 17.01 et seq. (Vernon Supp. 1980-1981). Ebert's filed a counterclaim...
