GEE, Circuit Judge:

Sylvester, a first-class welder with Bethlehem Steel, suffered an episode of "chemical bronchitis" in 1975. He returned to work some months later but in April 1976 went home feeling dizzy and nauseated. He was subsequently admitted to the hospital complaining of chest pains and dyspnea. After release from the hospital and outpatient treatment, Sylvester experienced difficulties in finding reemployment...
