OPINION

ESQUIVEL, Justice.

This is an appeal from a conviction by the trial court for the offense of theft of property with a value of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) or more but less than Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00). Based on allegation and proof of a prior conviction, appellant was punished as a repeat offender. See Tex.Penal Code Ann. §§ 31.03(d)(4)(A) (Vernon Supp.1982) and 12.42(a) (Vernon 1974).
