In April of 1977, Young Oil Company of Louisiana, Inc., with Roger Young as its president and majority stockholder, opened a self service gas station in Winnfield, Louisiana. About one year later Mr. Young hired Shirley Durbin as a cashier at the station under the supervision of Nancy McQuiddy, the general manager of the station.
