In April of 1977, Young Oil Company of Louisiana, Inc., with Roger Young as its president and majority stockholder, opened a self service gas station in Winnfield, Louisiana. About one year later Mr. Young hired Shirley Durbin as a cashier at the station under the supervision of Nancy McQuiddy, the general manager of the station. Late in 1978, Mrs. Durbin was put in charge of the day to day operation of the station. Her duties included opening the station...
